A road winding through the savanna hills at Tanarara

Private trip · 6 days, 5 nights

Eighteen destinations, and a route reordered

The longest trip is not the four-day route with days bolted on. It starts inland at Prai Ijing and reaches four waterfalls the shorter trips never see.

In short

The six-day trip reorders the island rather than extending it: Prai Ijing and Waikelo open the trip, Ratenggaro moves to day two, and Weekacura, Matayangu, Lapopu and Mondu Hill are added.

  • Two nights in Southwest Sumba and three in the east, instead of one and two.
  • Four waterfalls: Weekacura, Matayangu, Lapopu and Waimarang, plus trekking at Tanggedu.
  • Starts 12.00 WITA at Tambolaka (TMC), finishes 11.00 WITA at Waingapu (WGP).
  • No age limit, and the car is yours.
